It is fascinating to see how things have changed in Facility Management over the last 3 decades. Today, if a Facility Manager (FM company or consultant for that matter) requires some FM information, they might enter a few key words into Google, voila discover a plethora of excellent FM websites and tips to read through.

So why is it, some FM operations seem to miss the bullseye of excellence? There can be many reasons reasons for this; some may be within manager's control, some external to the manager's control, or any combination. Perhaps the manager discovered the "knowledge" on the internet but application of the "understanding" is not quite there.

"FM Knowledge does not equal an understanding of Facility Management."
